I just saw an ad on the television that began with yellow letters against a stark red background that read: “STOP GLOBAL WARMING.” Slowly the red faded into the familiar image of a closeup of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and the message continued: “OR ALL THE REESE’S CUPS WILL MELT.”

I’ve occasionally wondered what the American equivalent to the fortune cookie is*. I may have found the answer, written on the back of a Gushers packet.
“To avoid choking, give Fruit Flavored Snacks only to children who can easily swallow chewy foods. Children should be seated and supervised while eating.”
