The Wonderland of Knowledge Wednesdays - “Clive”

March 25th, 2009 · 2 Comments

I do not know who Robert Clive, or “Clive,” as The Wonderland of Knowledge refers to him. I did not read the article that was written about him in the book. I did not look him up on Wikipedia to get more information. I know nothing about this man.

I just want to know why it was so important to color his vest yellow.

Because it repels bullets? C’mon, if you lived in a 2-D black-and-white world you would definitely steer clear of a bad-ass sporting a dandy shirt and scarf with a golden vest. And look at his pose — full of confidence and defiance. “You want to shoot me? TRY IT.” And I do believe that is a flower in his other hand. OR A CLAW.
