(I was originally going to call this post “A Post for Book Lovers” but I don’t see any point in kidding anyone. I’m writing this for one person and one person alone: my favorite author and secret crush: Sarah Vowell. You might like it too, though.)
In college, as we were reading the classic Melville novel Moby Dick, my professor asked the class what we thought of the stirring sermon given by Father Mapple.
My thoughtful response: “HOW DO YOU LIKE THE MAPPLES?!”
You may have to say it out loud to get it, but it may not be worth it.

I was in that class, and I if somehow I had a time machine to go back to that day, I would have encouraged you to keep quiet and then taken your idea. Then I could a funny man website.
