My regular readers may have noticed my silence concerning the upcoming election, despite this site primarily being a political blog. Well, after last night’s debate, I am finally ready to endorse a candidate for the 2008 election.
Ladies and gentlemen, RamseyEss.com is proud to announce its official endorsement of The Ghost of Paul Newman for President of the United States.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit, The Ghost of Paul Newman does not have much experience, having only been in existence for a little over a day. However, the long distinguished life that this great man lead whilst alive has carried over into death, giving his spirit the experience that he needs in order to lead this country as our nation’s first specter President.
Foreign Policy: On the Newman’s Own labels, the cartoon drawing of Newman would change depending on what product it was: Caeser’s laurel wreath on the bottle of Caesar dressing, big Russian hat and mustache on the vodka sauce, etc. Clearly, The Ghost of Paul Newman has a vast understanding of the world’s many foods and cultural stereotypes.
The Economy: When The Ghost of Paul Newman was just Paul Newman there were multiple charitable organizations to which he contributed, thus aiding the economy in some small way. Additionally, while alive, he was a movie star and was very rich.
Human/Ghost Relations: As a recently created ghost, The Ghost of Paul Newman has the strength and resources to bridge the gap between the living and the dead, and will harness his insight into both worlds to construct and maintain said bridge.
Abortion: This hot-button issue, unfortunately, is a little tricky for The Ghost of Paul Newman. Though he was pro-choice in life, since dying, he has gone on record as saying that he is “pro-life.” This, however, probably referred not to abortion but to his wishing that he was still alive.
So, my friends, this November as you file into your voting booth, think twice before pulling that lever for yet another member of the same old system. The answer, my friends, is clear. And by “clear” I mean transparent: The Ghost of Paul Newman in ‘08.
It's my blog.

At first I also thought “too soon” but knowing the late Mr. Newman as I did (which is not at all), I feel that you made this a tasteful blend of recommendation and homage, much like Newman’s Own Italian dressing did with oil and vinegar.
